Discovering Respect on Veteran’s Day.

With Respect ……..
On Veterans Day my thoughts keep drifting to the word Respect. Respect is defined as an act that demonstrates “high regard” for someone or something. As we celebrate Veterans Day it is important to add the word appreciation into the equation. Veterans Day is held on the anniversary of the end of World War I November 11 to honor  all US veterans and victims of all wars. It replaced Armistice Day in 1954. By respecting our Veterans we strengthen our bond as a Nation and learn a powerful lesson. That you have to give respect in order to get respect. Let us take honor one step further today and start practicing respect. Thank you to all  the Men and Women who have served or given their lives to protect our Democracy.
