Conversations with My Mother

Mutual Respect=A Behavior With Power.

As of late my mind keeps drifting to mutual respect and the life lessons learned from my Mother Margie. We learn the basic social guidelines for respect as children. To start respect is a behavior that treats people well. It is the foundation for a humane and well functioning society. You have to give respect in order to receive it. It is important to make an effort to see similarities and respect differences with people. Actively use My Mother’s golden rule. “If you do not have something nice to say about another person. Say nothing at all.” These simple behaviors taught me the power of Mutual Respect to transform any situation or relationship. I learned that Mutual Respect resolves differences, build bridges, establishes trust, defuses conflicts and increase successful outcomes. It is just that easy. Thanks Mom. I am so proud to be Margie’s Daughter.
