Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.” People are not frighten of death. It becomes a welcomed friend for those experiencing long bouts of suffering. They eagerly embrace the peace. There is no path around the pain of losing someone we love. A person who has touched our life in a special way. The only route is through it. We wear with honor the mark they have left on our heart and soul. Our memories of them become a welcomed legacy. The pandemic has uncovered a profound reality. Our mortality is the thread that weaves us all together. It is the great equalizer. A powerful life lesson provided to all by the pandemic. It is just that simple.
