The Power of Perspective.

I often wonder about the state of infatuation. What is gained by it? Infatuation is defined as falling in love or becoming extremely interested in someone or something for a short period of time. Upon onset is strong and intense and can take many forms and shapes. We can become infatuated with a person, an action, a thing, a behavior and a food. Infatuation can make us act foolishly deprived of sound judgment and reason. We can easily be swept away by the state of infatuation stumbling into life’s danger zones. The simple behavior of slowing down and stepping back positions to gain perspective. It provides space to explore and evaluate our needs, wants and desires. Soon a powerful shift occurs. We begin to experience the power of perspective. We start the process of defining our needs, wants and desires. Rather than being defined by them. We learn to use perspective to put the lid on infatuation. We become a decision makers. It is just that simple.
