My thoughts keep drifting to the meaning of the word Respect. We learn the social guidelines and behaviors of respect as children. The dictionary definition is to demonstrate a high regard for someone or something. Respect is a standard that defines how we treat people. Respect is a two way street. We have to give Respect to receive Respect. Memorial Day is our Nation’s way of remembering and Respecting all who died during active military service.
