Kwanzaa is a celebrated from December 26 to January 1. People throughout the world from all faiths and traditions celebrate Kwanzaa’s Seven Principles. The Seven Principles are Unity, Self-Determination, Collective Work and Responsibility, Cooperative Economics, Purpose, Creativity and Faith. Seven candles are traditionally arranged on a table. Three of the seven candles are red representing struggle. Three of the candles are green representing the Mother Earth and hope for the future.
