I was empowered from early childhood to question. So I asked My Mother. What is a parents role in dependency? Her response is a solid life lesson in control and power. Dependency begins when a child is raised to meet their parents needs. They are given only one leg to stand upon and always off balance. They never hear their own voice. So,they live life screaming to be heard. They have never been held accountable for their actions and continually blame others. Remember, in all relationships dependency always meets the needs of the giver and short circuits the power of the receiver. Dependency is a comfortable trap. A trap that is easily disguised.
