I realized in early childhood my words were valued and heard. This empowering life lesson was a given to me by my Mother. She often told this story always for my benefit. “When I tell my daughter to do something” She says “Why Mother”. So, I was launched on my quest for answers. She would listen intently giving serious consideration to my questions. Often, I could sense both her bemusement and frustration. As I fired off question after question. Repeatedly asking “but why? but why? but why? Finally, half laughing half serious she would say, “Because Y is a crooked letter”. Temporarily satisfied. I would wander off. To contemplate how Y could be a crooked letter. My quests for answers taught me to seek my own counsel and draw my own conclusions. I was learning how to think. I make time daily to contemplate Y. It is my go to strategy for discovering answer and solutions. Now that is power. It is just that simple Thanks Mom!!! margiesdaughter.com
